STOCKTAKING & PERSPECTIVES
International Conference – December 9-12, 2013, Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq
At Salahaddin University, Cultural Center, College of Engineering, Hawler, Kirkuk Road
What happened after removing Saddam Hussein from the power in Iraq? This is what two Iraqi universities; Salahadeen and Kirkuk, as well as the German University of Erlangen-Nürnberg and the Felsberg Institute for Education and Academic Research are exploring during a 4-days conference. In this conference, Scholars, academics and civil society activists from Iraq, Germany, France, Holland, Colombia, the USA and Turkey are presenting their researchers on post-war experiences and discussing issues related to the current Iraqi position.
The panels and workshops of the conference will look at Iraq’s economy, transitional justices, institutional approach of governance, social development and fulfilments of Human Rights.
