Gueltan Kisanak: Police intends to kill me

URFA (DIHA) –  3.2.2013 – Making explanation about the police’s gas bombs intervention in Viransehir, the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Co-chair Gultan Kisanak, “At that time, there weren’t people with us, we were alone. We were only MPs there. But police aimed at us and threw gas bomb to us. Our party’s chauffeur warped my head. In this way, he protected me from being hit by the bomb. They intended to kill me deliberatively,” said.

The Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Co-chair Gultan Kisanak made an explanation last night about police’s gas bombs intervention to “women meeting” which had been held with motto of “The sun rising from Amara will liberate Rojava”. The meeting was held with the pioneering of the Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Women Council in the garden of Viransehir Municipality Culture Center in Viransehir district of Urfa to support the Kurdish people in Syria.

‘They should not dissemble’

Kisanak stated that even though they met with Interior Ministry, provincal governorate and district governorate, they exposed to fascist intervention of police. She added police assaulted on them and on people without making even a warning. Kisanak, “If they gave the instruction to the police to assault on us, then why did they give permission to us? They should not dissemble,” reacted fiercely.

The BDP Co-chair Gultan Kisanak, “At that time, there weren’t people with us, we were alone. We were only MPs there. But police aimed at us and threw gas bomb to us. Most of them women and children, a great number of people were wounded in the police fascist intervention. AKP and Erdoğan government must be sincere. We are so much sincere as to sacrificy our lives for it. The instructors of this assault and police will give account of this. They killed Kurdish politicians beforehand, as well. But nobody retreat. We are here. They must see our history of resistance,” said.

5 detained, 65-aged woman’s foot broken

In the intervention of police, 5 people including children were taken into custody. Also, police hit to 65-aged woman Sıdıka Kurt. Therefore her foot was broken. It has been learnt that Kurt fell to the ground as a result of intervention and then police officers stepped on her foot. Due to this fact that her foot was broken. 65-aged Kurt was taken under treatment in Viransehir Public Hospital.
