Civil war possibility among Syria Kurds looming / PYD KILLED 3 VILLAGERS

The possibility of a civil war among the Kurdish parties of Syria is looming as tensions among the parties is getting inflamed.

Kurdpress – 27.6.2013 – The possibility of the war fueled days after 3 Kurdish villagers were shot dead by the forces of People’s Defense Unit (YPG), military branch of Democratic Union Party (PYD), in Tel Ghazal, in the northern Kurdish city of Kobani.

“The killing of the villagers is a threat to deteriorate the situations. Rifts are growing among Kurdish Parties,” Kurdish media activist Hoshin Omar told Kurdpress, casting his doubt on an end to the disputes. He added clash among the parties is possible as their leaders are accusing each other of treachery. The rifts are growing as al-Party leaders, along with the chairmen of some other Massoud Barzani- affiliated parties, are trying to establish their own armed groups but PYD opposed and says establishing any new armed group is not allowed. PYD stresses his armed groups preserve the security of the regions and any new armed group should be a subdivision of it YPG forces.
