Forderung im Bundestag Massaker an Iraks Kurden als Völkermord anerkennen
16 Febr 2021 – Hannes Heine – DER TAGESSPIEGEL BERLIN Zum Jahrestag des irakischen Giftgas-Angriffs auf die kurdische Stadt Halabja will die Linke auch auf Mitschuld deutscher Firmen aufmerksam machen.
Wenige Wochen vor dem Jahrestag eines der mörderischsten Giftgas-Angriffe der Geschichte könnte sich der Bundestag mit einem Antrag dazu befassen. Am 16. März 1988 tötete Iraks Luftwaffe im von Kurden bewohnten Halabja circa 5000 Männer, Frauen und Kinder mit Giftgas. Verschiedenen Schätzungen zufolge starben in den Tagen nach dem Massaker weitere 5000 Kurden an den Folgen.

NEUE ZÜRCHER ZEITUNG – 16 Febr 2021 – Bei einem Raketenangriff auf einen von US-Truppen genutzten Luftwaffenstützpunkt im irakischen Teil Kurdistans ist ein Zivilist getötet worden, meldet 24matins.de. Sechs weitere Menschen, darunter ein US-Soldat, seien bei dem Angriff in Erbil verletzt worden, habe die US-geführte Koalition am Montag mitgeteilt. Die Nationalität des getöteten Zivilisten war zunächst unklar. Zu dem Angriff habe sich eine bislang weitgehend unbekannte Gruppe bekannt. Insgesamt seien nach Angaben aus Sicherheitskreisen mindestens drei Raketen auf den Flughafen der Stadt Erbil abgefeuert worden. Eine Rakete sei auf dem militärischen Teil des Airports eingeschlagen, auf dem sich Soldaten der Koalition gegen den IS befanden. Die beiden anderen Raketen seien den Angaben zufolge in Wohngebiete in der Nähe des Flughafens eingeschlagen.

MESOP – Iraq rocket attack near the Naz City apartment complex in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan, February 15, 2021. HEWLÊR-Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan region,— A rocket attack on U.S.-led forces in Iraqi Kurdistan Region late on Monday killed a civilian contractor and injured a U.S. service member, the U.S. coalition in Iraq said, in the deadliest such attack in almost a year.
The barrage of rockets hit in and near a military air base occupied by the U.S.-led coalition at Erbil International Airport. Two U.S. officials said the contractor who was killed was not American. The coalition said five other contractors were hurt, without elaborating.

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region — Turkey’s airstrikes on parts of the Kurdistan Region’s Duhok province as part of its ongoing operation in the area are growing ever more frequent, local sources told Rudaw on Saturday.
The strikes “have caused material damage, and the sound of planes can constantly be heard in the skies over Deralok and Chamanke sub-districts,” a local source told Rudaw’s Nasir Ali, speaking anonymously for fear of repercussion.
Airstrikes at the foot of Gara Mountain have been increasing in frequency since last night, the source said, and four helicopters had been circling the area, home to “strategic PKK hideouts and positions.”

Rubin: Masrour & Nechirvan Barzani more Turkish proxies than Kurdish leaders
Michael Rubin, resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, confirmed that Turkey uses the PDK bases as vanguard ones for it’ army, saying : ” Masrour and Nechirvan Barzani are more Turkish proxies at this point than Kurdish leaders”.

Der KNK erklärt zur Invasion in Gare: „Der türkische Staat kann diesen Krieg nicht alleine führen und braucht internationale Hilfe von der EU, den USA und der NATO. Wenn der türkische Staat diese Hilfe erhält, hat Erdogan einen Freifahrtschein.”
