President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey has been conducting a vigorous purge within his governing party, pledging a “serious renewal.”
26 Dec 2017 – Most of those who were pushed out had failed to deliver a yes vote during the April referendum that approved constitutional changes that would give Mr. Erdogan expanded powers if he is re-elected.

Trump’s National Security Strategy is bad news for Turkey

21 Dec 2017 – After almost a year in office, U.S. President Donald Trump will unveil his first National Security Strategy (NSS) on Dec. 18. It may be full of bad news for Turkey.

We learned something about the forthcoming release of the document from a key official who actually put it together with his team, national security adviser General H.R. McMaster. In a speech in Washington last week at a London-based think tank, McMaster called the 70-page document a “dramatic rethinking of American foreign policy from previous decades.”

The statement by HPG Press Center listed the following details with regards to the Turkish airstrikes that targeted guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones on 14-15 December;

“At between 21:00 and 22:00 on December 14, Turkish warplanes shelled Kunişka area of Zap region. The same day, warplanes bombed Sıninê hamlet in Xınêre area.

At around 10:30 on December 15, Turkish jets shelled Kalatuka area of Qandil region.”

Die Belohnung für Informationen, die zur Verhaftung eines ehemaligen Spitzenbeamten der CIA namens Graham Fuller und eines ehemaligen Beamten des Pentagon mit dem Namen Michael Rubin führen, hat letzte Woche ein Anwalt im Auftrag des türkischen Geschäftsmanns ausgelobt, berichtete die türkische Zeitung Cumhuriyet.
