BDP Amed co-chair taken into custody
ANF – AMED 02.10.2013 – Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) Amed provincial co-chair Zübeyde Zümrüt has been taken into custody on Wednesday.
Zümrüt went to Diyarbakır Courthouse in the afternoon in the scope of an investigation led by the public prosecutor of Diyarbakır. She was told there that she would bear testimony to police and that she needed to go to police directorate.After being detained at the police station, Zümrüt was taken to Diyarbakır state hospital for health control. The reason for BDP executive’s detention is not known yet.
