“TALKS WILL FAIL ! “ (AHMET TURK) – BUT THERE ARE NO TALKS UNTIL NOW ! (MESOP)

11.6.2013 – Kurdpress – The co- leader of Democratic Society Congress (DTK) Ahmet Turk blamed Ankara government for neglecting the demands of the Kurds in Turkey peace talks with Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).

“PKK and Ocalan (PKK jailed leader) put their promise into action and both the ceasefire and PKK withdrawal were set into motion but Erdogan (Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan) government has not taken a serious step to meet our demand,” Taraf daily quoted Ahmet Turk as saying in Diyarbakir.

The Kurds are not due to take all the actions in the peace talks and the government ignore everything, Turk said, warning that the talks would fail if the policy is continued. The Kurdish politician added Gezi Park protests demonstrate Erdogan is not accepting any democratic rights either those of the Kurds or the Turks. DTK co- chair demanded the 10 percent election threshold to from a party in the parliament should change to allow other groups to form and have their own party.
