A hunger striker taken to Amed hospital
MESOP – Diyarbakir – 17.11.2012 – 67 Day Of Hungerstrike. One of the Kurdish prisoners who has been on hunger strike since 4 November was taken to Diyarbakir hospital last night, local sources said, due to gastric bleeding. Umit Aslan one of the hunger strikers was hospitalised last night when he started to suffer from gastric bleeding at around 3.00 am with local time.
32 years old Aslan who has been on huger strike in Amed D Type Prison was transferred to Dicle University Hospital following immediate treatment at Training and Research Hospital. According to the reports Aslan is being kept under observation while has undergone a liver transplant two years ago.
