ERBIL — The fate of three members of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Syria (KDP-S) politburo, who have been abducted by the Democratic Union Party (PYD), remains unknown.

Torin Shamdin, a member of Kurdistan Women’s Union-Syria secretariat, told BasNews that the three KDP-S politburo members Mohsen Tahir, Nashaat Zaza and Bashar Amin have been arrested by PYD, an offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan).

The fates of the KDP-S leaders are still unknown, she said.

A PKK-affiliated armed group raided the house of Nashaat Zaza last night while he was previously abducted in Tirpa Spi town in Qamishlo in the region. Meanwhile, the house of Bashar Amin was also raided and his wife was abducted by armed men of PKK-affiliated PYD.

PYD continues to crack down on Rojava parties which are under ENKS umbrella whose political views are different from those of PKK.
