MESOP : FRENCH LEGAL AIRSTRIKES ON MALIKI ?

Maliki May Face Trail in French Court

20.09.2014 – Diyar Aziz – BasNews, Erbil – A diplomatic source close to the Iraqi Ambassador in France has revealed that there are six complaints registered in French courts against former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

The source pointed out that Iraqi refugees in France are responsible for the registration of six cases against Maliki, the current Vice President of Iraq. The source said that one of the cases accuses Maliki’s relatives of confiscating the complainant’s property under the orders of Maliki himself. “Maliki was the biggest reason for the huge displacement of minorities in Iraq, and the subsequent fleeing to foreign countries, since he was the general commander of Iraqi forces. We have registered a complaint about it in French courts,” one of the refugees told the source. Iraqi media have revealed that when France President François Hollande visited Baghdad, he refused to have Maliki at the lunch table that Iraqi President Fuad Masum organized. Last week Paris organized an International conference to gather world support for Iraq to fight Islamic State (IS) Militants.
