24-5-2014 – Kurdpress – Ahmad Asi al-Jarba, the leader of Syria opposition Coalition stated the oppositions will create new Syria along with the country’s Kurds who have experienced tough days in the past.

Kurds have been under oppression in the past but the situation will not continue in the future. They will have political and positions and they will help Syrian people too,” Jarba told Rudaw TV in Paris where he met President Francois Hollande.

He further added the coalition is in close contact with the pro-Kurdish opposition-affiliated Patriotic Council and “we will build Syria future based on the cooperation,” adding that not only the Kurds and Arabs but also all groups and lines will enjoy all their rights. A member of the Kurdish council told Kurdpress days ago that they have asked the opposition body to officially recognize the rights of the Syrian Kurds and stick to the agreements the two sides had made in Istanbul.
