SALIH MUSLIM IN MOSCOW : A CASE STUDY OF SO CALLED “REVOLUTIONARY NEUTRALITY”

Syria Kurds back no side in Syria

The Leader of Syria pro- Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), Salih Muslim, stated his party does not back the government of President Bashar al- Assad nor the opposition side, Hawar news reported.

Addressing a group of his party supporters in Moscow in Kurds Culture Center headquarters, Muslim said: “we are at a very sensitive period and try not to make a mistake and receive blows.” “We are clearly stating that the Kurds in Syria are neither with Assad nor with the opposition council. The Kurds are seeking to take democratic steps and enhance their defense power to answer back any possible threat and attack,” Muslim went on to say. Underlining Geneva II conference, Muslim added: “some are trying to ignore the Kurds’ demands and their problems in the conference but we believe the conference will end in vain if the demands of the Kurds and their issue are not discussed.” He further assured every conference dooms to fail without the Kurds.

After Muslim, Turkey Kurdish Sirnak Deputy Hasip Kaplan addressed the gathering about Ankara peace process with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). Source: Kurdpress 19-12-2013
