Gharib Hisso: PDK commits national- Kurdistani offense

Gharib Hisso confirmed that the PDK is committing a national offense and Kurdish, and that the Kurdish powerss must hold it accountable. He said: “The PDK seeks to undermine the Kurdish affiliation.”

On July 24th, Kurdistan Democratic Forces, the PDK, launched a heavy-weapons attack on People’s Defence Forces HPG zones in Charchel in Metina of legitimate defense zones in Southern Kurdistan but Peoples’ Defence Forces, the HPG, refrained from responding in order to avoid any fighting.

The attack comes after 3 months of the continuous attacks of the Turkish occupation army on areas of Southern Kurdistan, which have not yet achieved any significant results. The forces revealed that 494 Turkish occupation soldiers had been killed in the legitimate defense zones of Southern Kurdistan during the past three months.

Co-chair of the Movement for a Democratic Society (TEV-DEM), Gharib Hisso, explained that the Turkish occupation army has been launching attacks for 3 months on Southern Kurdistan, and the forces that repel these attacks are the People’s Defense Forces HPG, and the will of the Kurdistan people.

Gharib Hisso noted that the Kurdistan Democratic Party has turned into a partner of the Turkish occupation state, and this partnership poses a great danger to the Kurdish people and society as well, which has been calling for more than 3 months for the Kurdistan Democratic Party to give up this wrong policy that does not serve the Kurdish people.

Hisso said: “Unfortunately, the Kurdistan Democratic Party adopts a unilateral policy contrary to other Southern Kurdistan parties, and has turned into an official partner of the occupying state, and the policy pursued by the Kurdistan Democratic Party does not serve the interests, aspirations and hopes of the Kurdish people, but rather serves the interests and agendas of the Turkish occupation state.”

Gharib Hisso noted that the all the Kurdish people and all Kurdish forces have repeatedly appealed for the necessity of not sending special forces to areas held by the People’s Defense Forces, neither to areas witnessing clashes between the People’s Defense Forces and the Turkish occupation army, but the Kurdistan Democratic Party ignored all these appeals and sent special forces to those regions.

Hisso decried the barbaric attack carried out by forces of the Kurdistan Democratic Party with heavy weapons on People s’ Defence Forces HPG in Charchel in Metina of legitimate defense zones in Southern Kurdistan, confirming that these attacks serve the Turkish occupation interests that suffered harsh blows at HPG’s hands.

Hisso explained that the recent attack of the Kurdistan Democratic Party on the areas of the People’s Defense Forces comes with instructions from the Turkish occupation state, and noted that the Kurdistan Democratic Party does not move by a Kurdish decision, but rather moves by a Turkish one, “PDK is trying to hide the failure of its policies in Southern Kurdistan by launching attacks on, Kurdistan Workers’ Party, the PKK.”

Adding:” PDK seeks to create an intra- Kurdish fighting, while the Kurdish people seek to unite its ranks to repel the Turkish occupation attacks on the Kurds.”

Gharib Hisso explained that the KDP adopts the policy of fragmenting the Kurdish community, killing Kurdish women, and blowing up Kurdish politics calling on the party to abandon this wrong policy that is hostile to the aspirations of the Kurdish people, and which undermines gains made by the Kurdish people. And stop the mobilization of its forces to the legitimate defense areas.

Gharib Hisso called on all powres, parties, civil society organizations, youth and cultural organizations in Southern Kurdistan in particular and Kurdistan at large to clarify their positions on the policies adopted by the Kurdistan Democratic Party
