MESOPOTAMIA NEWS KURDISH PKK IN DANGER ! –  Karayilan: Battles in legitimate defense zones are strategic battles

HPG Commander Murat Karayilan asserted that the Gerîla Forces are fighting historical resistance in legitimate defense zones Medyayê, and said, “We won, but the comrades must not live the trance of victory.”

<span “=””>The following are excerpts from the speech of HPG Commander Murat Karayilan: “The leadership of our party, the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), the struggle of the workers has reached at the highest levels, and the struggle of democratic socialism and toil is escalating in Kurdistan with the thought of the leader.

It is known that the month of May is the month of the martyrs, and in the person of the martyr <span “=””>Hakî Karer, we commemorate the martyrs of the revolution in Kurdistan with respect.

We will achieve the dreams of these martyrs and step up the struggle and resistance against attacks by the Turkish Occupying State on legitimate defense zones, which are not routine resistance; It is historical, and now there is significant and meaningful resistance Avaşînê, Zapê and Metînayê areas, and it will have important results at the political and military levels. So we say it’s not a routine resistance, and at this historic stage in the Kurdistan freedom war, this resistance is proceeding on a strategic level.

The Turkish state has dirty plans against our people and our regions, and it’s fighting the war to implement them. However, it has not achieved any victory, and therefore seeks to escalate the war in legitimate defense zones and to remove Gerîla Forces and sought to occupy these areas. It also seeks to establish a buffer zone and to occupy strategic areas in order put its hands on the gains achieved by Kurdish people, which poses a major threat to the Arab people and other peoples of the region.

<span “=””>’The battles in the legitimate defense zones should not be seen as tactical battles’.
<span “=””>The Turkish Occupying State is weak, and the AKP and NPG are not in a position of strength. On the contrary, they are experiencing the most debilitating situations and are launching attacks on legitimate defense zones in order to prolong their lives in power. They see this war as a matter of existence and absence. But if they do not achieve an outcome in the legitimate defense zones and are defeated, then the AKP and NPG systems will completely cease to exist. Without doubt, the defeat of this regime will mark the beginning of a new phase for our people, the people in Turkey and the democratic forces in the region. This means that the war that is taking place in Avaşînê, Zapê and Metînayê is a war for Turkey’s democratize, and the future of the forces of freedom and democracy is linked to this war.

<span “=””>It is true that this war is taking place in the mountains, but it will affect the whole of Turkey and the region. So all eyes are on it, and our comrades are aware of her importance. This means that this war is not for the protection of a particular region, but for the future, freedom and existence of our people. It is a war for democracy. Battles in legitimate defense zones should not be viewed as tactical, it must be seen as strategic battles.

<span “=””>The resistance, which completed eight days, produced important results. Last year in February in Haftanin and then in Gara Mount, there was resistance, and now 8 days ago in Mam Rasho, the martyr Sardar, Kala Baidao, Gilo Pojok and Zanduriya, there is resistance, which is very important. The reality of this resistance is important not only for us, but for the region and the world at large. We are now developing the 21st century Gerîla Forces against technology. The results achieved so far are therefore very important to us.

<span “=””>Despite the sophisticated technology, Turkey has not achieved any results since the start of its offensive 8 days ago, nor will it. The Turkish state says we have the second most powerful army in NATO, and we have the most sophisticated technology. Moreover, it does not attack alone, but with its mercenary from Syria, and uses all the means at its disposal. Despite all this, it did not achieve its goals as a result of heroic resistance to the Gerîla Forces.
