SOUTH KURDISTAN IRAQ: KDP responsible for killing professor, injuring 18 protesters: Change deputy
12 Oct 2015 – MESOP – A parliament deputy from Change Movement (Gorran) blamed ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) in Kurdistan Region and said the party is responsible for killing a university professor and injuring 18 other protesters. Amin Bakir told Wakh news agency that police and security forces have not opened fire on protesters in the recent demonstrations in the Kurdish region in the north of Iraq but have dispersed the protesters using tear gas but KDP elements have opened fire on protesters to disperse them and have, therefore, killed a university professor and injured 18 demonstrators in Sulaimaniya, capital of the eastern province in the region. www.mesop.de
