PYD expels KDP-S leader from Syrian Kurdistan

PYD  –  ON A STRAIGHT WAY TO A „ONE-PARTY-DICTATORSHIP“

Hemin Salih – BasNews, Erbil – 16-5-2014 – Having already blocked the head of Kurdistan Democratic Party – Syria (KDP-S) Su’ud Mullah from returning back to Syria, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) has stepped up its campaign against the KDP-S by arresting a party leader and sending him to the Kurdistan Region.

On Thursday morning, YPG militants, the military wing of the PYD, went to the house of KDP-S leader Bashar Amin and arrested him. Nouri Brimo, another KDP-S leader, told BasNews that the PYD has started to arrest their senior members and block others from entering Syrian Kurdistan. “On Thursday morning, Amin was arrested in his bed and then sent to the Kurdistan Region with his pajamas,” said Brimo. “The politics adopted by the PYD are a reaction to the increasing number of KDP-S followers. They are thus trying to separate the party leaders from their followers,” added Brimo.
