Kurdpress 12-4-2014 – Pro-Kurdish Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) parliament Deputy Pervin Buldan said the leaders of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) are angry with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan for denying the possibility of legalizing Kurdish peace talks with the PKK jailed leader Abdullah Ocalan.
“Ahead of his visit to Azerbaijan Turkey PM said legalizing peace talks with Ocalan is a big mistake. The remarks have angered PKK leaders and have expressed their worry of the stance,” Buldan said after visiting PKK leaders in Qandil Mountains and giving an Ocalan letter to them and brining their answer to the letter into Turkey.
Buldan further added the PKK leaders believe the newly-formed Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) is a serious alternative for Turkey future and the party is needed to be strengthened. The party was founded on the request of Ocalan to win leftists, Turks and Kurdish votes in Turkey non-Kurdish region is local elections late March. The party, however, failed to win any municipalities and secured only 1.5 of the votes in the polls.
