Peace package is not because of PKK & Ocalan: Bulent Arince

27.9.2013 – Kurdpress – Turkey Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arince refuted the country’s peace package, that is going to be revealed at the end of September, is linked to the Kurdistan workers’ Party (PKK) and its Jailed Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

“Expressing such an issue is both illogical and unethical and is far way from politics as government of Ruling Justice and Development party (AKP) is well aware what it is going to do,” Arince said, answering a report who questioned whether Turkey is going to ratify a peace package in fear of the PKK. Arince added every step his government has taken was to increase democracy. Stressing that political development of Turkey is not related to the PKK, Ocalan as “we want to take necessary steps to provide the demands of our citizens.” Ratifying the package is a big victory for AKP in bringing democracy to Turkey, he further said, stating that Turkey Prime Minister Recap Tayyip Erdogan will reveal the content of the package on the last day of this month.
