NOT HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOR ÖCALAN : Law change to talk to Ocalan impossible – Erdogan

BasNews – 5.4.2014 – Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said changing law in his country in order to negotiate with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) jailed leader Abdullah Ocalan is not possible.

We have taken courageous steps in the past 12 years to solve Kurdish issue in Turkey but the conflict is not over yet more attempts are needed to be made, he said, stressing that making changing in law in order to talk to Ocalan is an unacceptable big mistake. No steps in possible to be taken for the Imrali prisoner and all other prisoner all over the country, he reiterated. Answering a question about presidency election in Turkey, Erdogan said he is in talks with President Abdullah Gul and they will announce their decisions soon, denying reports about holding early election in his country.
