Nechirvan Barzani & Qubad Talabani elected as KRG PM and Deputy
MESOP 20.5.2014 – The Kurdistan Region parliament reelected Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani for the post and elected Qubad Talabani as his deputy. 99 parliament deputies voted for Barzani to be reelected as the PM for the eighth government of the Kurdish region. Talabani, however, was elected by 78 votes as rival Gorran (Change) Movement did not vote for him.
