Nechirvan Barzani discusses Erbil-Ankara ties with Erdogan
17-4-2014 – MESOP – Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani discussed bilateral ties with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Wednesday, aHABER said in a report.
Barzani arrived in Turkish capital early yesterday on Erdogan’s official invitation and discussed bilateral deals as well as trade ties and oil agreements with Erdogan.
The two leading officials also traded their views on the latest regional developments.
Erdogan is reported to have stressed that Ankara is determine to continue oil deals with the Iraqi Kurdish region and has stated he would express the stance to the US as well as Baghdad leaders. The Turkish PM has further expressed his worry over recent violence in Iraq.
