Die Bibliothek in Arvika überrascht Besucher durch das Angebot arabischer Sprachkurse. Viele Schweden fragen sich, ob nicht ein Angebot von Schwedisch-Kursen für arabischsprachige Einwanderer produktiver wäre. Die Bibliothek bietet jedoch keinen derartigen Dienst.

• Die Einwanderungsbehörde veröffentlicht am 8. April einen neuen Bericht mit dem Titel “Sind Sie verheiratet?”, der zeigt, wie seine eigenen Sachbearbeiter Kinderehen ermöglichen.
• Schwedischen Behörden haben Hunderte von polygamen Ehen unter den Einwanderern gebilligt, wie Jura-Professor Göran Lind am 4. April zeigte.
• Ein Asylbewerber wurde am 23. April verhaftet, weil er unter anderem seine Frau in den Kopf getreten hatte. Nach Angaben der Polizei wurde der Mann wütend auf seine Frau, weil sie Schwedisch lernen wollte.

Ein bisschen verdutzt müssen die Teilnehmer der diesjährigen Digitalkonferenz „Republica“ in Berlin bestimmt gewesen sein, als Bundesarbeitsministerin Andrea Nahles sie ganz ungeniert während einer Diskussion über Coworking-Spaces in der zweiten Person Plural ansprach: „Ich vermute mal, ihr arbeitet dann in Räumen, die ihr irgendwie angemietet habt“, sagte die Arbeitsministerin zu den Bloggern.
