Kurdish National Council Condemns PYD Attack on Ma’abdah (Karkiliki) Local Council in Alhasaka Province
The Kurdish National Council (KNC) condemned the terrorist attack carried out by militants of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) on the local council of the town of Ma’abada (or Karkiliki) in Alhasaka province. PYD militants on Monday detonated an IED in front of the office of the local council, causing material damage to the office building. The KNC said that the attack represents an act of revenge against the KNC’s national project, and came as response to the KNC’s participation in the Geneva negotiations alongside the Syrian opposition. MESOP FLASH: TOP HEZBOLLAH COMMANDER NOT KILLED BY ISRAELI FORCES
Mustafa Amine Badreddine, who was believed to be Hezbollah’s top military commander, was killed on Tuesday in an explosion near the Damascus airport, according to a statement by Hezbollah. Some Arab media reports have attributed the blast to an Israeli airstrike but social media accounts associated with Syrian rebel groups have claimed that he was actually killed south of Aleppo and that Syrian rebels were responsible for the attack. Badreddine has been involved in Hezbollah’s military operations since 1982 and was a close associate and relative of Imad Mughniyeh, who previously held Hezbollah’s top military post until he was assassinated by a car bomb in Damascus in 2008. http://www.mesop.de/?p=73987

Four years ago, Saadu Sharapudinov was a wanted man in Russia. A member of an outlawed Islamist group, he was hiding in the forests of the North Caucasus, dodging patrols by paramilitary police and plotting a holy war against Moscow.
Then his fortunes took a dramatic turn. Sharapudinov, 38, told Reuters that in December 2012 Russian intelligence officers presented him with an unexpected offer. If he agreed to leave Russia, the authorities would not arrest him. DIYARBAKIR-AMED, 13 May 2016 – A Turkish official said four Kurdish rebels were killed while loading explosives onto a truck in Turkish Kurdistan, in the country’s southeast on Thursday, hours after a separate blast targeting the military in Istanbul wounded eight. A powerful blast that shook an area near the main Kurdish city of Diyarbakir on Thursday killed four “bombmakers” and injured at least 10 other people, the interior ministry said. Für die meisten Inder ist es schwer, kein starkes Gefühl historischer Dankbarkeit gegenüber Israel und dem jüdischen Volk zu empfinden. Der Staat Israel kam uns in so gut wie jedem Krieg militärisch zu Hilfe, den Indien seit 1947 als unabhängiger Staat führte.
Um ein wirklich erfolgreicher Staat zu werden, sehen wir ein, dass wir dem jüdischen Streben in spirituellem und weltlichem Lernen nacheifern müssen. Wir brauchen einen Staat, der Männer und Frauen stärkt, so dass sie frei und furchtlos soziale, technologische, unternehmerische und humanitäre Kreativität entwickeln, sogar während er ständig angegriffen wird.
Die Heimkehr der Juden und die Wiederherstellung des jüdischen Staats in seinem historischen Land ist eine Quelle großer Hoffnung für uns Hindus gewesen. Wenn wir die Wiederherstellung des jüdischen Staates und die Wiederbelebung des Judentums in seinem historischen Land sehen, dann sehen wir Hindus uns selbst. Wenn das Judentum ohne die jüdische Heimat unvollständig ist, dann ist das Wesen des Hinduismus nicht von der Geographie Indiens zu trennen.
