MESOPOTAMIA NEWS  TO WHOM SHOULD KURDS TRUST ?

MESOP QUOTATION : They shouldn’t trust the US (and the US hasn’t promised by the way, so they have imagined a promise that doesn’t exist)…but no reason to trust the Syrian regime.

Lesson here: Don’t trust.

Damascus calls on Kurds not to believe in US promises

Damascus, Oct 3 (Prensa Latina – KUBA) Syria’s Foreign Minister Walid Al-Moallem called on Kurdish Syrians not to believe in US promises, the Arab channel Al- Mayadeen reported on Thursday.

‘Kurds are Syrian citizens and they have to be treated according to this principle, but those who cooperate with the US government against the interests of their country are not good citizens and must be held accountable,’ the Syrian minister stated in an interview with Al-Mayadeen.

He called on the armed Kurdish militias not to be fooled by US promises and reaffirmed that all territories controlled by the self-proclaimed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) will be returned to the control of the Syrian State.

In the interview, the head of Syrian diplomacy reiterated Damascus’s determination to free the entire national territory from terrorism and the illegal foreign presence.

‘The priority now is to conclude the fight against terrorism and then we will turn to other priorities, including the expulsion of all foreign forces from Syrian territory,’ he stated.

Al-Moallem noted that the Syrian State has given terrorists in Idlib province more than one opportunity for a deal. ‘There are three options with regards to terrorists, that they are imprisoned in Syria, are killed or return to their countries of origin, and Syria prefers the last option,’ he stressed.

Regarding the relationship with Ankara, Al-Moallem reiterated that ‘Turkey must choose between being a neighbor or enemy of Syria, and must show good will, withdraw its troops from Syria and stop its support for terrorists,’ he pointed out.
