12m 18 Oct 2019 – Ben Rhodes supported the decision to do absolutely nothing to protect civilians in Syria. The Assad regime gassed, bombed, starved and tortured thousands of children with impunity. Obama’s team decided it was not a priority for the US to stop this.

Anyone who had a hand in Obama’s Syria policy has no right to criticize Trump’s policies in Syria, which are only slightly worse than theirs. Most of the displacement and murder of children in Syria occurred under Obama’s watch, not Trump’s.
