Abadi’s reelection will only be endangered if his relationship with Sadr breaks down. But if it does, I’d think Ali Allawi would be someone would get consideration. Kirk H. Sowell added,

IHEC can choose to do recounts if it wishes, but if it ignores the parl’t vote, no consequences follow. The vote is not a bill, and did not pass a law, so there is nothing to appeal against in court. After June 30 these MPs will be unemployed.

Will the Iraqi gov ignore it? What do you think the consequences will be of the parliamentary vote

Kirk H. Sowell‏ @UticaRisk 6h6 hours ago

If you are going to concoct a conspiracy to rig Iraq’s elections, how dumb do you have to be to hold your conspiracy meetings in a Damscus hotel owned by Mishaan al-Jiburi, & then forget to rig it so that at least his son gets elected?

Kirk H. Sowell‏ @UticaRisk 6h6 hours ago

This is not to deny there was fraud, but those wanting to discredit election results need to find a spokesman who didn’t go from being a Saddam puffer to al-Qaeda puffer to Shia militia puffer. Mishaan’s son Yizan was on Fatah’s list in Salah al-Din. And lost.

Oh yes, let’s hear more about fraud in the election from Mishaan al-Jiburi. This is not a good choice of guests. Talal does ask him about his 5-Star Hotel in Damascus.
