Denmark: We Took Part in US-Led Strike That Killed Assad Troops
The Danish Government has said that its F-16 fighter jets took part in a US-led coalition airstrike which accidentally killed at least 62 regime troops on Saturday. An official statement said the incident would be investigated. Russia said that two F-16s carried out the attack, near a frontline between the Syrian military and the Islamic State in eastern Syria.On Sunday, Australia also acknowledged that it was involved in the strike.

The US military repeated on Sunday that it informed Russia about the attack, countering Moscow’s accusations that the Americans were supporting the Islamic State with the strikes.
Officials said US military personnel in Qatar told the Russians about 30 minutes in advance about the plan to attack an area where several dozen individuals, a tank, and other military gear were present. The Russians said nothing to indicate the presence of regime troops until they called about 20 minutes into the assault, when the operation was immediately aborted. 18 Sept 2016 – ERBIL — A Kurdish political observer has accused some members of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) in Kirkuk of being involved in corruption, claiming that governor Najmaddin Karim takes 23% of the oil revenues in the province. In his most recent article posted on his Facebook account, Bahroz Jafar says there are “mafia-like people” in Kirkuk who govern Kirkuk using the influence of PUK; some of them have joined the Kurdish party only to smuggle oil, arrogate lands and launder money.
