Everywhere apparent in Turkey is the impact of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (and his so-called ‘Justice and Development’ Party’s (AKP) stealthy ‘coup’ that has de-Kemalised the face of the nation: from the huge new mosques in city centres, Erdoğan ’s boastful 1,100 room palace costing £500 million 2; the sweeping aside of Istanbul’s secular culture when Mayor, toppling of the educated aristocracy and a new generation of women covered in varying degrees by Islamic dress – Turkey is no longer a secular democracy and Erdoğan no democrat. There are few things that unite the Left and Right in America, least of all when it comes to foreign policy. But in the wake of the Islamic State’s rampage in the summer of 2014, a strange and virtually unquestioned consensus was accepted across the political spectrum. The narrative went something like this: The Iraqi Army, after over a decade of US training and investment, ran at the first sight of ISIS and abandoned billions of dollars of military hardware to the terror group. The Kurdish Peshmerga (“those who face death”) meanwhile held their ground bravely and shielded their vulnerable religious minorities from the Islamic State’s onslaught. Unlike the sectarian Iraqis, the religiously pluralistic Kurds defend Muslims, Christians, and Yezidis alike and deserve our full-throated backing. Vor noch nicht ganz 3 Wochen hatten wir in einem flüssigen facebook Disput der obigen Genossin zu erklären versucht, daß nicht nur die Ex-Stasi-Agentin Kahane auch heute wieder für Geld so einiges tut, sondern daß die von ihr (Wettig) im Übrigen behauptete Ideologie angeblich „unabhängiger NGO’s“ bestenfalls eine geschäftsfördernde Unwahrheit bedeutet. NGO’s sind heute in der Regel sogar doppelt abhängig: von staatlichen/suprastaatlichen Mitteln und meist privatwirtschaftlichen Geldgebern (Beispiel: REWE/NABU etc.).
Da diese NGO’s langfristige Projekte wie auch eigene Arbeitsplätze sichern wollen, sind sie dauerhaft abhängig von ihren Gebern und deren Interessen.
Wettig verteidigte Kahanes Geldgeneriermaschine, die Antonio Amadeu Stiftung, nicht ohne hinzuzufügen, daß etwa eine Finanzierung durch IKEA neutral sei und auf keinen Fall „ein Problem“ bedeute. Was sie schleunigst im Blog zurückzog, nachdem wir sie hilfreich über die NAZI-Vergangenheit und die Kinderarbeitsgegenwart dieses Hauses aufklärten. (MESOP)

8 Sept 2016 – sputnik news – Die türkischen Sicherheitskräfte haben einen Terroranschlag am Flughafen Istanbul-Atatürk vereitelt, es wurde eine Selbstmordattentäterin festgenommen. Dies berichtet die Zeitung „Sabah“.
