MESOP NEWS Syria Daily: The Incessant Bombing of Daraa City / THE PUTIN & ASSAD SOLUTION – A REPORT

By – Scott Lucas – eaworldview –  June 17, 2017 – Pro-Assad forces have continued an escalation of bombing of Daraa city, the birthplace of Syria’s 2011 uprising, into a third week.

The pro-Assad attacks initially tried to hold back a rebel offensive that took most of the strategic district of Manshiyah, capturing security and other regime buildings. It then supported a counter-offensive to regain territory in the city, divided since 2012.On Friday morning, the regime’s military began with barrel bombs on the Old City section, and it continued with other aerial attacks and shelling.A pro-opposition outlet summarized that, in the past two weeks, there have been at least 712 barrel bombs, 166 airstrikes, 610 “elephant” rockets, 450 artillery shells, and 86 incendiary munitions dropped on Daraa and the surrounding area. 17 June 2017 – Kurdpress – In line with attempts to supply the Syrian pro-Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) with ammunition to fight the Islamic State terrorist group, the U.S. delivered 50 truckloads on Friday alone to the forces, Turkish media said.

Earlier in the day, the trucks reached the city of al-Hasakah in northwest Syria, the Anadolu news agency reported. Basnews English –  13/06/2017 – 15:04 – Reports – PKK Provoking Public Employees in Northern Areas of Kurdistan Region

ERBIL — Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) guerrillas in northern Kurdistan Region areas are prohibiting civil servants of Kurdistan Region from performing their duties and continue taking provocative actions against them.  PKK’s treatment towards government employees has caused outrage among the residents of the northern areas near Mount Qandil, where the PKK leadership located.

A local source told BasNews that this maltreatment of PKK towards the employees have deprived the areas of all public service projects.Muslih Balaki, the Mayor of Warte district, told BasNews that 8 employees of the district’s municipality were provoked by PKK and they were often overworked by the guerrillas.The official said that a large number of inhabitants of the areas on the outskirts of Qandil have left their areas due to PKK’s harsh treatment towards them, noting that those who are keeping livestocks and work on farms are being taxed by PKK.
