KURDWATCH, September 25, 2015—On September 18, 2015, the Democratic Union Party (PYD) claimed on its website that former soccer coach ʿUsama ʿAbdulmuhsin is a member of the Islamist Jabhat an‑Nusrah. ʿAbdulmuhsin became publicly known after he was kicked and tripped by a Hungarian journalist as he tried to flee across the Hungarian‑Serbian border. The PYD also claims that from 2004 until 2010, ʿAbdulmuhsin was the coach of the al‑Futuwwa soccer team from Dayr az-Zaur and that as such, he was present at his team’s soccer game at al-Qamishli stadium on March 12, 2004. At this game, political differences between the fans of al‑Futuwwa and the fans of the al-Jihad team from al-Qamishli resulted in violent conflicts, which led to days of unrest. Officially it is exporting 300,000 barrels per day (bpd) from Kirkuk oil fields but this is done without full transparency. While Kirkuk city is in dire need of funds to re-develop infrastructure wrecked by sectarian warfare, improve public services and address the needs of the internally displaced people (IDPs), most of the oil revenues are being split between the KRG and the region’s two dominant parties, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), denying the city its fair share and causing justified alarm among local residents. September 2015 hat die Partei der Demokratischen Union (PYD) auf ihrer Website behauptet, der frühere Fußballtrainer Usama ʿAbdulmuhsin sei Mitglied der islamistischen Dschabhat an‑Nusra gewesen. ʿAbdulmuhsin war einer größeren Öffentlichkeit bekannt geworden, als er bei seiner Flucht über die ungarisch- serbische Grenze von einer Journalistin getreten und zu Fall gebracht worden war. Die PYD behauptet außerdem, ʿAbdulmuhsin sei von 2004 bis 2010 Trainer der Fußballmannschaft al‑Futuwwa aus Dair az‑Zaur gewesen. In dieser Funktion sei er auch am 12. März 2004 während eines Spiels seiner Mannschaft gegen die Mannschaft al‑Dschihad aus al‑Qamischli im Fußballstadion von al‑Qamischli gewesen. MESOP : RASPAILS „HEERLAGER“ – DIE ANTIZIPATION DES EUROPÄISCHEN ZERFALLSPROZESSES
800 Flüchtlingen kommen an Ostern in Europa an. Und das Abendland geht diesmal wirklich unter.
So malte es sich der französische Schriftsteller Jean Raspail 1973 in seinem Roman „Das Heerlager der Heiligen” (Verlag Antaios, Schnellroda 2015) aus. Unlängst feierte er, der Royalist und katholische Reaktionär, seinen neunzigsten Geburtstag. Raspails Buch ist so wenig realistisch wie Huxleys Dystopie „Schöne neue Welt” (die allerdings die Vorlage aller Kulturkritik an der genetischen oder drogenchemischen Verbesserung des Menschen bis heute abgibt) oder wie Orwells „1984″, ein Roman, der in manchen Diagnosen des Abhörens von der Wirklichkeit längst überholt wurde, sich andererseits aber das Schreckensszenario nur stalinistisch-brutal und nicht kapitalistisch-sanft vorstellen konnte. – Raspails Vision war eine Dimension der Zuwanderung, die weit über das damals rational prognostizierbare hinausging, und insofern hat sein Roman in der Tat prophetische oder albtraumhafte Qualitäten. Berlin/Hamburg. Die Bereitschaft der Bundesregierung, den syrischen Präsidenten Baschar al-Assad in die Bemühungen um ein Ende des Syrienkrieges einzubeziehen, findet Beifall in der Wissenschaft. “Um einen Bürgerkrieg dieses Ausmaßes zu beenden, muss man notfalls auch mit dem Teufel reden”, sagte Margret Johannsen vom Institut für Friedensforschung und Sicherheitspolitik an der Universität Hamburg.
Vor allem müssten “auch die regionalen Großmächte wie Iran oder Saudi-Arabien” mit an den runden Tisch, sagte sie der “Neuen Presse” (Samstag) aus Hannover. “Ohne eine Entspannung vor allem zwischen diesen beiden Staaten, die um die Vorherrschaft in der Region konkurrieren und deren Spannung den syrischen Bürgerkrieg anheizt, wird der Konflikt nicht beizulegen sein.”
