3-8-2014 – ISIS seized the Yazidi populated Shingal. Yazidi leader Hazim Tahsin Beg urges the US and Kurdish government to help them agaist ISIS. Thousands of Yazidis are escaping from ISIS to the mountains in the north to find refuge there. Yazidis are non-muslim religious minority and ethnically Kurdish.
