As the fight between Turkish security forces and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has escalated – including airstrikes in northern Iraq’s mountains and targeted killing of police by the PKK – Turkey has besieged areas suspected of supporting the PKK near the border. www.mesop.de
