25.10.2015 – ERBIL – A former member of the Iraqi Parliament from Gorran (Change Movement) has urged Kurdish political parties and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to solve internal disputes before they resume negotiations with Baghdad.

Sardar Abdullah told BasNews that the disputes between the Kurdish political parties will adversely affect the KRG’s position in upcoming negotiations with the central government.Abdullah believes that the parties must share power fairly and conduct immediate reforms inside the Kurdistan Region if they wish for success in the talks with Baghdad. Regarding the issues pertaining to the presidency in the Kurdistan Region, Abdullah said that Massoud Barzani must hold a summit meeting between the Kurdish political parties. “We also have to have a united and clear strategy for the future of Kurdistan,” the Gorran official stressed. He pointed out that General Coordinator of Gorran Nawshirwan Mustafa is fully aware of the latest developments in the Kurdistan Region while abroad, and he consults with officials in every decision the party makes.
