A note of advice to any of my Facebook friends thinking of organizing a military coup: put it at high among your list of priorities to apprehend and/or neutralize the leading figure of the regime you wish to bring down, at an early stage of the proceedings. If you fail to do this, and the opposing leader remains 1. alive, 2. at liberty and 3. able to communicate to the public, you are likely to end up with at best, civil war, and at worst, your own defeat and destruction.
