Turkey: In Diyarbakir the situation at the Dicle University escalated today

Students who held a peace gathering (Pro-Kurdish) where attacked by supposedly Islamist Hizbullahî Kurdî members. The situation got fast out of control as the protests and fights spread over the area. The police intervened and attacked (and arrested) – sometimes even alongside Hizbullahî Kurdî supporters – the Pro-Kurdish students. Tensions where high during the whole day afterwards on the campus and surrounding area.

KRG: In the night of 14th to 15th of April Kurdish Peshmergas shot a Kurdish refugee from Syria who tried to cross the border near Semalka. He died later in a hospital in Duhok. Hundreds of Kurdish refugees in the KRG took to the streets on the 15th of April to protest against the policies of the ruling KDP party regarding the Kurdish areas of Syria and the border.
