MESOP : PLAN A / B / C and so on …. Nechirvan Barzani backs plan by Barham Salih

16 Aug 2015 – Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister, Nechirvan Barzani, has expressed his support to a plan by Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Deputy Leader Barham Salih over the presidency of Kurdistan Region.Also the deputy leader of Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), Barzani said the plan can be a beginning to resume talks and reach accord on Kurdistan Region’s presidency crisis. Barzani added that he supports a message by the PUK Deputy Leader Kosrat Rasul Ali over the crisis. The plan by Salih to solve the crisis asked for fundamental reform and forming a leading council and said Kurdistan Region’s President Massoud Barzani can remain president conditionally and demanded parties in the region to reach an accord over the issue.It is worth mentioning that a KDP leading council Friday August 14 meeting did not mention the plan by Salih. Change Movement (Gorran) has expressed its opposition to the plan and reports claim that the PUK leading council has denied the plan which was approved in a meeting of the party’s political office.
