MESOP NEWS TODAY : European Parliament’s Sakharov Prize for the Freedom of Thought to the Yezidi people’s representatives Ms. Nadia Murad & Ms. Lamiya Aji Bashar

Dear MESOP READERS –  please be informed that the official ceremony for the award of the European Parliament’s Sakharov Prize for the Freedom of Thought to the Yezidi people’s representatives Ms. Nadia Murad and Ms. Lamiya Aji Bashar will take tomorrow, Tuesday the 13th of December, at 12h00 (until 12h30), in the plenary chamber of the European Parliament in Strasbourg (France).

The ceremony will be webstreamed, you can follow the live event using this internet link http://www.europarl.europa.eu/plenary/en/home.html (you can follow the ceremony in all EU languages, including in the original language used by the speakers). A statement by the EP Chair Martin Schulz will open the ceremony, followed by the speech of the 2016 Sakharov Prize winners.
