SOUTH KURDISTAN (IRAN)

 The Deputy Leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), Kosrat Rasul, wrote a letter to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, where he congratulated the 38th anniversary of the revolution’s victory and stated that the Islamic Revolution opened a new horizon to Kurdish fighting in Iraq.

Rasul, the first Deputy to the PUK Leader Jalal Talabani, said in his letter to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei that he and the PUK felicitate Iran on the 38th anniversary of the victory to the leader and all Iranian Muslims, expressing his hope to see more Iran progress and development. He further reiterated that the PUK Leader and former Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has always paid a great significance to cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran and the deep relation the PUK has with Tehran, stressing that the tie has proved its positive results in different periods of Kurdish fighting. Rasul also added that the PUK seeks deeper and more extended ties with Islamic Republic of Iran. Rasul also felicitated President Hassan Rouhani on the 38 anniversary of the revolution. www.mesop.de
