PUK: We want the Interior Ministry

20.04.2014 – Mewan Dolamari – BasNews, Erbil – First Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Barham Salih announced that during the meeting held on Sunday with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) the PUK asked for the Interior Ministry.

Following the meeting both parties held a press conference and gave details about the talks. During the press conference Kurdish Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani highlighted the importance of the PUK in the new government and Salih stated that the PUK is not concerned about the agreement between the KDP and Gorran (Change Movement). Salih emphasized that the PUK is insisting on getting the Interior Ministry and for this reason KDP and PUK have exchanged suggestions and ideas, which will be further discussed on Monday.
