MESOP NEWS : Sadr in a conference with Hakim – We agreed on the need for a real partnership in Iraq
28 August 2014 14:10 – Shafaq News / The Leader of the Sadrist movement , Moqtada al-Sadr called on Thursday, to the necessity of the participation of all sects and political blocs in the new government headed by Prime Minister-designate ,Haider al-Abadi. Sadr said in a joint conference held with the leader of the Islamic Supreme Council ,Ammar al-Hakim followed by “Shafaq News”, that “We agree on the need to do a real partnership in Iraq to meet the security challenges in the country.”
Sadr has made no secret that he was able, along with the parties and political forces at the request of Marjiyaa to step down the outgoing Prime Minister ,Nuri al-Maliki from office and not nominate him for a third time. Sadr and al-Hakim agreed that they support the Iraqi army in fight against terrorism represented by ISIS, which controls large areas in the north and west of Iraq. For his part, al-Hakim expressed his full support for the formation of a government headed by ,Haidar al-Abbadi hoping to be able to meet the challenges.
