With Saturday’s bombing of Afrin, a town controlled by America’s Kurdish allies in northern Syria, Turkey appears to have crossed a line.
Turkish artillery pounded the Ashrafiyeh neighborhood near the city center as well as surrounding villages. Reports from the region <http://www.kurdistan24.net/en/news/24431b0d-5847-4c5c-a8cf-2c34bbcb62a7> said the Turkish attack killed five civilians, including an entire family that was buried alive in their own home, and damaged dozens of homes.
