Iran is only country able to solve Erbil-Baghdad disputes: Mahmoud Osman

22-10-2014 – Kurdpress – A former Kurdish member of the Iraqi parliament in Baghdad Mahmoud Osman said the Islamic Republic of Iran is the only country in the region that is capable of solving tensions between the central government and the autonomous government in the north of Iraq.

He praised the yesterday visit of Iraqi PM Haidar al-Abadi to Tehran and said the visit proves Baghdad and Tehran enjoy good level of relationship, adding t Kurdpress that Iraq is the only state that can end tensions in Iraq, since Tehran also enjoys good relation with Iraqi Kurds. He further Abadi is planned to discuss tensions with Kurds in his visit to make it possible for Kurds and the central government to overcome their differences and ends current stalemate. He also commented on Kobani, the situation of Syria Kurds as well as Turkey’s policy towards Kobani and the political status of Iraqi Kurds in new government.
