MESOP MIDEAST WATCH: Turkish Forces Bombard Raqqa&Hasakah (SYRIEN-KURDISTAN)

11.5.22 AL MONITOR- Turkish forces and Ankara-backed Syrian Islamist groups on Tuesday bombarded areas in Hasakah and Raqqa in northeast of Syria, a war monitor reported.

The bombardments targeted the village of al-Tawela in west of Tel Tamr, northwest of Hasakah, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

“Moreover, they shelled Al-Ma’lak and Saida villages and the vicinity of the “M4” international highway northern of Al-Raqqa,” SOHR said, noting that no casualties were reported.

The Britain-based monitoring group reported earlier that unidentified armed men carried out an attack against a Turkish position in al-Ruwayhah village on the eastern outskirts of Jabal al-Zawiyah, in the southern countryside of Idlib.”The attack left no casualties. Following the attack, Turkish forces combed the areas around the attack site,” the monitor explained.
