MESOP LATEST : YPG have withdrawn from Manbij two after capturing it from ISIS

By Paul Antonopoulos – 25/08/2016 – almasdar News – The Kurdish YPG have announced that they have withdrawn from the northern Syrian town of Manbij after it was only captured from ISIS two weeks ago.

The YPG command have announced in a statement that they have withdrawn to their bases and will leave control of the town to the Manbij Military Council with only Arab members of the YPG-led SDF to remain in the town. It is yet to be seen if these YPG fighters will now engage with Turkish forces and their Islamist proxies who are conducting Euphrates Shield operation.
