MESOP LATEST : Barack Obama talks to Iraqi PM on phone
9-9-2014 – Kurdpress – The US President Barack Obama talked on phone with new Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi over parliament’s yes vote to the PM’s cabinet yesterday.
Releasing a statement, White House, said Obama and Abadi stressed on taking concrete steps in providing the Iraqi people’s legal demands. The Iraqi PM promised to work with all Iraqi lines and blocs as well as regional and international partners to boost Iraq’s capabilities and intensify unity. Abadi’s government was approved with 177 yes votes. The Kurds did not vote in favor of the government but said they would attend in the government and gave Abadi three months to meet their demands.
