MESOP: KURDISH SYRIAN SURPRISES National Coalition members frequently visit Assad-held areas of Hasakah
(By Abdullah Al Ghadawi; Translation by Yusra Ahmed) – 5 Dec 2014 – (Zaman Al Wasl)- Many members of the Kurdish National Council, which is part of the National Coalition, frequently have been entering to Syrian regime-held areas of al-Hasakah under the protection of People Protection Units (YPG) and the Democratic Union Party (PYD). Despite the claimed disagreement between the Kurdish National Council and the PYD, Sources within the National Coalition revealed to Zaman al-Wasl.
Sources expressed their surprises for members of the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition forces to enter areas like al-Hasakah and Qamishli under protection of these forces, moreover to go to regions under Syrian regime’s control. Sources added that disagreement between the Kurdish National Council and PYD were not that strong and deep, and relations among them were kept on, the evidence for that the good relationship between Bashar Abdul Hakim, the Deputy of President of the National Coalition and Moslim Saleh, the Head of the Political office of PYD. The source mentioned that despite the proofs about the cooperation between the Syrian regime and PYD, the Kurdish National Council still unable to openly criticize that as declare its attitude.
