Great work by the New York Times – a lot of maps on the recent events in Iraq, including “who is who”, where is the oil, how did the borders change since World War I, the situation at the Singal Mountains and more. Though they still state the “myth” that Erbil was shelled by IS, but that is a minor flaw:
