Eight missing Erbil youths are now in Syria
19.03.2014 – Hoshmand Sadiq BasNews, Erbil – Eight Kurdish youths from Erbil the Capital of Iraqi Kurdistan have been disappeared for more than a week.
The Erbil youths who disappeared on Monday March 17 are now in Syria. A relative of the men revealed that Asayish had shared intelligence with the family that indicated that the youths are in Syria. The relative told BasNews: “These young men, ranging in age from 20 to 23, have often visited a mosque in their quarter where they studied religious courses. They disappeared after starting the courses.” The Director of Erbil Asayish told BasNews that it is still investigating the case and declined to comment further.
