Haniyeh had decided to settle with his family in Qatar, where he would be more comfortable than in Gaza City and free to travel around the Arab world. DEBKAfile’s exclusive sources, which reveal this, add that El-Sisi acceded to the Saudi request. So Haniyeh stays in Gaza until Cairo and Riyadh decide otherwise.
