11.05.2014 – BasNews, Iran – A high rank consultant for Iran’s president has said that Iran has plans to consider education in Kurdish. Ali Younisi, President Rouhani’s advisor, said that his country welcomes the developments there have been in terms of Kurdish issues in Turkey and Syria.
In an interview with Iranian newspaper printed in the Kurdish city of Sanandaj, Younisi said that the Education Ministry is currently working on the issue of education in Kurdish language. Younisi said that Iran supports Kurds everywhere, including the cantons in Syria and stressed that Iran still supports Jalal Talabani being reelected as president of Iraq. Following his election Rouhani was greatly criticized for not carrying out the promises he made to the Kurds. The reformist Rouhani had the highest number of votes in the Kurdish areas of Iran during the presidential election last year.
